2 FIRs filed against WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh over alleged sexual harrasment of female wrestlers


The Delhi Police has taken action in response to allegations of sexual harassment made by female wrestlers against the chief of the Wrestling Federation of India, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh. Two FIRs have been registered at the Connaught Place police station based on the complaints received from the victims, according to a senior police officer.

The first FIR has been filed in accordance with The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code pertaining to outraging modesty. It relates to allegations made by a minor against Singh. The second FIR has been lodged to initiate a comprehensive investigation into the complaints made by adult complainants under relevant IPC sections concerning outraging of modesty.

The Delhi Police officer emphasized that the investigations into both the FIRs were being conducted with utmost seriousness.
